In 2003, Queen and Ben Elton brought their amazing stage show to Australia. The success of the show depended as much on the talent of it'e leading man as it would to Eltons script and Queens classic rock anthems.
The leading man for this production would have to win over a traditional theatre going audience, in a country well known for it's theatric conservatism, as well the hearts and minds of Queens legion of fans. Most of all he would have to convince the Freddie Mercury fans that he deserved to be there. After an exhaustive search, one candidate stood up to be that man. |
